  • Design and deploy cloud infrastructure:
    • Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, and architects to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions
    • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using cloud orchestration tools
    • Implement cloud security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Manage cloud services:
    • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of cloud-based systems to ensure high availability and scalability
    • Implement backup and disaster recovery measures to ensure data integrity and business continuity
    • Perform regular patching, updates, and maintenance tasks for cloud infrastructure components
    • Continuously evaluate and procure new cloud services and technologies to improve system efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Support application development and integration:
    • Collaborate with development teams to architect cloud-based solutions that align with software development lifecyle methodologies and integration patterns
    • Assist in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows for seamless software integration and deployment on cloud platforms
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, scalability, and integration with cloud services
  • Ensure cloud security and compliance:
    • Implement security controls and best practices to protect cloud infrastructure and data from unauthorized access, breaches, and vulnerabilities
    • Monitor and analyze logs and events to detect and respond to security incidents
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in cloud security and compliance
  • Collaborate and communicate:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure successful delivery of cloud-based solutions
    • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to explain cloud architecture, solutions, and benefits
    • Strong interactions with Product Management to establish “Platform-as-a-service" within the organization
  • At least 3 years of professional experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration management tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager
  • Proficient in at least on statically typed programming language, preferably C# or Go
  • Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or CloudWatch
  • Knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and best practices
  • Experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect are a plus
  • Very good written and spoken English skills, German is a plus
  • Get to know each other: In a 20-minute exchange with our recruiter, we look together at mutual expectations.
  • First interview: You will then get to know our Director Engineering and our SaaS Transformation Manager. You will learn more about the role and day-to-day work.
  • Case: Once you have successfully completed the interview, we will send you a task to work on at home.
  • Second interview: You will visit us at our headquarters in Karlsruhe and we will discuss the results of your task. You will also have the opportunity to get to know your future team (also possible digitally).
