Job Summary

The Senior Analyst, Content Valuation will be responsible for establishing a distance-based content valuation framework, preparing quarterly close and financial planning forecasts, and analyzing large datasets to provide actionable insights to senior management. Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a sustainable distance-based content valuation framework and prepare quarterly close and financial planning forecasts for scripted and unscripted content licensed by Hulu and Disney+ globally.
  • Combine quarterly regional content valuation submissions and identify key variation drivers, distilling results into meaningful insights for senior management.
  • Assist in preparing long-range and budget planning forecasts, as needed.
  • Act as the primary contact to key stakeholders at DTC Finance, Studio Finance, Partnerships, and Controllership.
  • Collaborate with finance partners to identify and improve process efficiencies and quality of attributions.
  • Curate and coordinate a large set of data to reach conclusions and make recommendations resulting in significant insights.
  • Regularly track and maintain content performance, such as Nielsen ratings, critical review scores, and industry awards, for network and cable primetime programs.
  • Participate in various ad-hoc projects that will introduce you to new concepts and enhance your understanding of key principles across the spectrum of content distribution and licensing.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, or business administration.
  • Experience working with large datasets and analytical tools, with a demonstrated ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to set and establish targets, manage multiple priorities, and pivot quickly based on the immediate needs of the business.
  • Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and partner across all levels of management.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, organization, strong problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving and uncertain environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with strong financial modeling skills required.
  • Knowledge and use of pivot tables and advanced Excel formulas, such as INDEX, MATCH, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, VSTACK, and Fixed IF statements.

  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
