About the Role: Leading the Way in Remote Healthcare

As an RN Case Manager Telephone Advice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing health education, coaching, and support to our members. You will be the bridge between our members and the healthcare system, ensuring they receive the best possible care. Primary Responsibilities: Delivering Exceptional Member Care

  • Provide health education and coaching to members on treatment alternatives, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Support members in selecting the best physician and facility, maximizing access, quality, and managing healthcare costs.
  • Coordinate services and referrals to health programs, ensuring seamless transitions and comprehensive care.
  • Prepare individuals for physician visits, ensuring they are informed and engaged in their care.
  • Assess and triage immediate health concerns, providing timely and effective support.
  • Manage utilization through education, promoting optimal healthcare outcomes.
  • Identify problems or gaps in care, offering opportunities for intervention and improvement.
  • Assist members in navigating their benefits and making informed choices about their care.
  • Handle in-bound and out-bound calls, responding to member and business needs.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives, driving innovation and excellence in healthcare.

Required Qualifications: The Foundation for Success

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Current, unrestricted RN licensure, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the nursing profession.
  • 3 years of Clinical RN experience, with a strong background in clinical skills and critical thinking.
  • Proven telephonic skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with members and healthcare professionals.
  • Intermediate computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Internet navigation.
  • The ability to assess and identify needs, influence, and motivate members to achieve optimal healthcare outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications: Enhancing Your Application

While not required, the following qualifications will enhance your application:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, demonstrating a higher level of education and expertise.
  • Coaching and/or decision support experience, with a proven track record of supporting members in their healthcare journey.
  • Managed care experience, with a deep understanding of the healthcare system and its complexities.
  • Conflict management skills, with the ability to navigate challenging situations and resolve issues effectively.
  • The ability to work under pressure, prioritizing responsibilities and managing multiple tasks.
