You will work closely with finance, operations, and IT stakeholders to identify trends, develop financial models, and implement data governance efforts that support the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute project-based analysis for finance and operational leadership, driving business outcomes through data-driven insights.
- Analyze large, complex financial datasets to identify trends, patterns, and variances, and develop financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives and recommend improvements, leveraging your understanding of financial principles and business operations.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and other BI tools, translating complex data into meaningful insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline reporting and enhance data accuracy, collaborating cross-functionally with finance, operations, and IT to meet business needs.
- Support data governance efforts, including data quality, security, and process documentation, and assist with ETL processes and contribute to the development of a scalable data warehouse.
- Write detailed business and report specifications and perform data validation and testing, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data-driven insights.
- Conduct value-added analysis to support process improvements and operational efficiency, driving continuous improvement and innovation through data.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed as a Business Analyst at NOCO, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business, or a related field, providing a solid foundation in financial principles and business operations.
- 2+ years of proven experience in financial or business analysis with a strong BI focus, demonstrating your ability to drive business outcomes through data-driven insights.
- Proficiency in Power BI and advanced Excel skills, enabling you to build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that drive business decision-making.
- Working knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts, supporting your ability to analyze complex financial datasets and develop financial models.
- A strong understanding of financial principles, including trend and variance analysis, and excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, allowing you to translate complex data into meaningful insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating your ability to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively.
- A high level of initiative with a track record of identifying and implementing improvements, driving continuous improvement and innovation through data.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with Sage, Prophet 21, QBO, Vena, and NAV2017, demonstrating your familiarity with financial systems and business operations.
- Power BI certifications and project management experience, showcasing your expertise in business intelligence and project management.
