Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Strategic Vision: Provide initiative and set vital vision and direction for the data science team, focused on Omni-Channel examination across both brick and mortar and online business.
 - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams, collaborating with Analysts, Technical Partners, and Business Leaders to establish a development guide based on business needs.
 - Business Requirements Translation: Translate business requirements into exact product specifications to guide development.
 - Solution Engineering: Lead solution engineering meetings, aligning strategies to business drivers, challenges, and long-term goals.
 - Data Pipeline Development: Design efficient data pipelines to address business issues, utilizing technical tools and retail systems.
 - Data Science Best Practices: Set and implement Data Science team best practices and lead code reviews for colleagues.
 - Data Visualization: Create compelling visuals, diagrams, and graphs that resonate with data, tailoring them to various audiences.
 - Advanced Analytics: Utilize advanced analytics techniques (regression, AI, clustering) to drive meaningful insights.
 
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics).
 - Experience: 2+ years of experience creating Examination, Measurable, or AI models to extract insights and address business challenges, ideally in a retail setting.
 - Web Analysis: Capability in web analysis and visitor segmentation using data to drive informed decisions and improve online experiences.
 - Leadership: Lead small teams in quick and accurate data analysis, feature definition, and creative problem-solving for business challenges.
 - Problem-Solving: Ability to work on complex issues, creating data-driven stories for direction.
 - Cloud Platform/Tech: Cloud platform/tech capability.
 - AI or Machine Learning: Aptitude in AI or machine learning methods.
 - Troubleshooting: Ability in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
 - Adaptability: Successful in fast-moving, changing environments.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management: Familiarity with various project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, scrum).
 - Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for effective team and individual connection.
 - Data Technology: Capability in different data technology areas:
        
- Data pipelines and ETL tools (e.g., SQL, SSIS, Knime, Alteryx, Scene Prep)
 - Database platforms including Snowflake and SQL Server
 - Scripting languages (e.g., Snowscript, JavaScript, VBA, Python)
 - Statistical and Data Science languages (e.g., R, SAS, Python for Data Science)
 - Utilization of AI strategies
 
 - Advanced Analytics: Experience with advanced analytics techniques (e.g., regression analysis, clustering, statistical induction, hypothesis testing, p-values, causal inference, Random Forest, Bagging, Boosting, Time Series).
