**Senior Data Engineer – US Federal Sales Division**

**Job Summary**
As a Senior Data Engineer in our US Federal Sales Division, you will play a critical role in the growth and development of our machine-enhancing sales force. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a production data pipeline that supports the training and production of machine learning models. You will work closely with our core IT team to support the development and production data pipeline, review and implement data engineering best practices consistent with industry standards, and support the implementation of recent technology packages that support US Federal Market Data Science, including requirements gathering and solution analysis.
**Responsibilities**
* Develop and maintain a production data pipeline that supports the training and production of machine learning models
* Work closely with our core IT team to support the development and production data pipeline
* Review and implement data engineering best practices consistent with industry standards
* Support the implementation of recent technology packages that support US Federal Market Data Science, including requirements gathering and solution analysis
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data engineering initiatives
* Develop and maintain data engineering documentation, including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and technical documentation
* Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering
**Requirements**
* S. citizenship is required
* You must live in the United States
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
* At least five years of professional experience related to data engineering in an enterprise environment
* At least three years of experience supporting end-to-end development of scalable data pipelines, including monitoring and support for production
* At least 3 years of experience in data warehousing, relational databases, JSON, Apache Hive, Spark, or Hadoop, or related technologies
* Strong skills in Python and SQL
* Experience in a US Federal agency is a plus
* Experience with the Cloudera platform and Docker containers is a plus
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* Experience with cloud-based data engineering platforms, such as AWS or Azure
* Experience with containerization, such as Docker
* Experience with data governance and data quality initiatives
* Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
