About the Role
As a Customer Success Manager at Starbucks, you'll play a critical role in driving the success of our marketing and personalization technology initiatives. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to design, build, and deliver cutting-edge digital experiences that elevate the Starbucks brand and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee product planning and development through daily collaboration and decision-making with cross-functional teams
- Translate customer experience into technical requirements and product solutions
- Drive technical solutions for complex features and components independently
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our technical architecture and systems
- Create data flows and functional and technical specifications on a case-by-case basis
- Define acceptance criteria for product features and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Collaborate with product managers, engineering, and QA teams to ensure seamless delivery and alignment
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate solutions across multiple technical teams
- Validate features against customer and business objectives and acceptance criteria
- Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders to drive alignment and decision-making
- Mentor and coach team members on technical product management skills
- Drive process improvements and optimization across product, design, and development teams
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, applying this knowledge to inform product decisions
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A strong technical background with experience in product management, engineering, or a related field
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive decision-making across technical and business teams
- A customer-centric mindset with a deep understanding of customer experience and behavior
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-driven decision-making
- Experience with Agile methodologies and product development processes
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with project management tools, such as MS Project and MS Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experience will be considered a plus:
- Experience in the retail or hospitality industry, particularly in a customer-facing or product management role
- Knowledge of marketing automation and personalization technologies
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and architectures
- Strong understanding of IT program and portfolio management practices
- Certifications in product management, project management, or a related field
