Key Responsibilities: Delivering an Iconic Customer Experience
- Connect with inbound customers online and over the phone to understand their needs and preferences for their next car purchase
 - Utilize your knowledge of CarMax's inventory to guide customers towards vehicles that meet their needs and preferences
 - Provide support throughout the car buying journey, from online sales or appraisal to arranging finance applications and scheduling vehicle delivery
 - Ensure a seamless transition from online to in-store purchasing to deliver an unrivaled customer service experience
 - Mentor others as your skillset expands and you become a subject matter expert
 - Achieve sales targets while maintaining a customer-centric approach that drives customer satisfaction and loyalty
 - Acquire the Automotive Sales Persons License in specific states, which may require testing and travel

Qualifications and Requirements: What We're Looking For
To succeed as a Customer Experience Consultant at CarMax, you'll need:
- Sales and customer service experience in a retail or related environment (preferred)
 - The ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment with a high level of energy and motivation
 - Good listening skills and a strong customer focus that drives customer satisfaction and loyalty
 - A high level of self-motivation to achieve performance goals and targets
 - Strong written and verbal communication skills that enable you to effectively interact with customers and colleagues
 - The ability to learn and master new technologies, with strong computer skills and a willingness to adapt to new systems and processes
 - Open availability for shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility to adjust to changing business needs
 - A hybrid role that requires working on-site one day per week, with a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace
 - Residency within 60 miles or 1 hour of the Customer Experience Center (CEC) location

- Previous experience in a call center or customer-facing environment
 - Knowledge of the automotive industry or a related field
 - Experience with CRM software and other sales tools
