About the Role: Customer Service Representative I - Remote

We're seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative I to join our team as a primary customer-facing representative. In this role, you'll provide exceptional assistance and support to individuals self-directing Medicaid services and their caregivers. Your knowledge of our programs, combined with outstanding customer service skills, will ensure timely and accurate issue resolution, driving customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with diverse individuals, addressing their inquiries with timely and accurate information.
  • Utilize person-centered techniques in all interactions, ensuring informed decision-making for our customers.
  • Assist individuals in completing paperwork and understanding program requirements.
  • Represent Palco in all public interactions, maintaining the utmost importance of customer privacy.
  • Initiate actions to respond to caller requests, including escalating issues to other departments when necessary.
  • Recognize the need for additional services and ensure caller satisfaction.
  • Conduct follow-up calls for quality and satisfaction.
  • Participate in training, departmental meetings, and adhere to corporate policies.
  • Access Palco software to retrieve information and update digital case records.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and adhere to remote work policies.

Education and Experience:

Any combination of education and experience that has provided the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for satisfactory job performance. This can include a high school diploma or equivalent and:

  • One year of customer support experience, preferably in a call center.
  • Working knowledge of modern office procedures, telephone etiquette, and public interaction.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to electronically document records in a web-based chart.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, email, and internet.
  • Good problem-solving and listening skills.
  • Ability to work with the public under stressful circumstances.
  • Skill in operating various office equipment, including computers and networks.

CRM experience and/or Medicaid experience are a plus, as are bilingual skills.
