About the Role
We are seeking highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our flight attendant team. As a Delta flight attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers, and working effectively as part of a team. You will be required to work a variety of schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service at an altitude of at least 8,000 feet
 - Assist customers in lifting and placing luggage in overhead bins
 - Demonstrate use of safety and emergency equipment and ensure safety requirements are met
 - Preparation, serving, and sale of beverages (including alcohol) and food (containing beef, pork, seafood, peanuts, etc.)
 - Answer questions and assist customers as needed, especially those with unique needs and circumstances
 - Proactively seek to ensure the safety and comfort of customers when the aircraft experiences delays or turbulence
 - Lead and coordinate emergency procedures or provide emergency care as needed (e.g., perform CPR and basic first aid)
 - Respond and give clear and precise instructions (verbal and/or non-verbal) to customers in the event of an emergency
 - Make resolution decisions by Delta policies, procedures, and standards
 - Work independently and as part of a team to complete work tasks
 - Coping with unexpected changes in a time-sensitive and stressful environment
 - Practice safety-conscious practices in all operational processes and procedures
 
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:
- Skilled US work
 - At least 21 years at the time of application
 - High school diploma or GED
 - The ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
 - The ability to get and maintain a passport and travel documents to travel for Delta
 - Complete a Department of Transportation (DOT) pre-employment drug test and comprehensive background check, including a government-required criminal background check based on fingerprints
 - Ability to sit in assigned jump seat with belt and shoulder harness attached
 - Ability to open emergency exits and close aircraft doors weighing 60 pounds and use a food/beverage cart requiring 32 pounds of push or pull force
 - It indicates that privacy is a priority in the management of personal data
 - It covers a diverse set of people, mindsets, and styles
 - Always prioritize the safety and security of yourself and others
 - Flexible hours available, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
 - Ability to work in a physically demanding role that requires constant standing, walking, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting (i.e., pushing/pulling beverage or food carts and lifting and opening aircraft emergency doors)
 - Ability to pick up and store items in overhead bins that can be up to 74" from the floor
 - Willingness to accept assignment at any cabin crew base as per operational needs after completion of training
 - Flexibility to transfer or commute (i.e., emergency travel) to and from assigned base and ability to fly international and domestic routes
 - Must be willing to change and adapt to meet work demands, including dealing with short-term changes in schedules
 
Preferred Qualifications:
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- 1 or more years of experience in positions with similar duties as a flight attendant
 - High school completion or GED preferred
