Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Director with Disney, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Line-coordinating live productions of remote games, working closely with school and college sports production teams
• Collaborating with producers and associate producers to determine the creative and technical direction of live remote game broadcasts
• Working with the Event Operations team to determine technical requirements and staff needs for live broadcasts
• Executing the technical production of live broadcasts, including tracking storylines and adjusting transmission coverage plans as needed
• Supervising the technical team during live broadcasts, providing guidance, feedback, and coaching as needed
• Providing guidance to schools on all aspects of TV production, including equipment evaluation and industry-standard production techniques
• Liaising with school production partners to provide timely feedback on student-produced content
• Visiting school production partner campuses to evaluate equipment, discuss production techniques, and provide guidance
• Designing, coordinating, and executing live productions of remote games, accurately documenting assigned events
• Making on-the-spot decisions regarding camera angles, sound, and other elements of live broadcasts
• Working with producers and technical teams to integrate all elements of a broadcast, including graphics, audio, and special effects
• Coordinating technical teams and consultants assigned to remote events, conducting production and technical meetings as needed
• Collaborating with the Manning office to assign production technical teams for assigned live events
• Conducting research on teams, players, storylines, and trends to stay informed on each assigned game/sport
• Providing guidance to live talent before broadcasts and coaching them as needed during broadcasts
• Making on-the-spot publication changes to coverage plans as unexpected circumstances arise
• Troubleshooting technical issues that arise during live broadcasts
• Ensuring that all advertisements and promotions are accurately embedded in assigned productions
• Participating in the development of concepts and content for assigned games to reach viewers and increase market penetration and viewership

Essential Qualifications

To be successful as a Remote Director with Disney, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• A valid driver's license
