Join Our Team as an Entry-Level Phlebotomist
We're seeking an experienced entry-level phlebotomist to join our team in a part-time capacity. As a phlebotomist at BioLife, you'll play a critical role in collecting plasma from donors, which is then used to create life-changing medicines for patients with rare diseases. About the Role
As an entry-level phlebotomist at BioLife, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our donors, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the plasma collection process. You'll also be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records, preparing donor charts, and coordinating donor compensation. In addition, you'll work closely with your management team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to center processes as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to donors, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the plasma collection process.
 - Maintain accurate medical records, prepare donor charts, and coordinate donor compensation.
 - Work closely with your management team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to center processes as needed.
 - Support a clean and professional work environment, attend team meetings, and work closely with your management team to problem-solve.
 - Be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
 - Learn how to install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot state-of-the-art plasmapheresis machines.
 
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
 - Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
 - Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
 - Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
 - Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
 - Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
 - Prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens (risk level 1).
 
Preferred Qualifications
We're looking for candidates with the following preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in food service, retail, hospital, lab, or a regulated environment.
 - Strong customer service skills.
 - Desire to work in a fast-paced workplace.
 
Compensation and Benefits
