Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: 100% REMOTE
Duration: 5+ months
Engagement Description
This Pharmacy Technician Role is within a remote contact center. We service major healthcare payer Medicare Part D Members and Providers. Our goal is to handle Member and Provider inquiries concerning benefits and coverage determinations. Our timeframes are extremely tight (urgent 24 hours, standard 72 hours).
Roles and Responsibilities
• Work on the pharmacy help desk handling prior authorization requests from doctors' offices.
• Requests are received via fax, mail, email, phone and electronic PA system
• Receive and respond to member questions about their pharmacy benefit
• Work from home – private and quiet workspace required.
Required Skills/Experience
• Retail Pharmacy experience – at least 2 years
• Good computer skills (Typing, outlook, excel, etc.)
• Good fundamental knowledge of drug names and drug classes
• Exceptional Customer Service
• Detail Oriented
• Ability to multi-task
• Willingness to accept change
Preferred Skills/Experience
• Call center experience
• CMS knowledge
Education/Certifications
• CPhT preferred not required (Certified Pharmacy Tech licensed)
• High School Diploma
