As a Customer Service Representative at our Membership Administration Center in Oklahoma, you'll play a vital role in providing top-notch support to our customers, resolving issues, and promoting our brand values.
About the Role
This is a full-time, 8-hour shift position based in Oklahoma, with no remote work options available. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the primary point of contact for our members, answering calls, responding to inquiries, and resolving complex issues related to Costco.com, online orders, tracking, and deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer a high volume of incoming calls and member-facing inquiries, providing timely and effective solutions
- Determine member needs and provide appropriate solutions, including answering general Costco.com/item questions and investigating complex circumstances related to online orders
- Consider and offer compensations as needed, demonstrating empathy and a customer-centric approach
- Act as a liaison between Costco.com clients, merchants, buying, and operations staff, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution
- Utilize multiple computer programs simultaneously on different screens while on the phone or responding to inquiries, showcasing technical skills and adaptability
- Apply critical thinking and decision-making skills to resolve order/item/delivery issues, ensuring prompt and effective solutions
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- E-commerce Customer Service Specialist Certification (completed within 14 days of training)
- Previous customer care experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in customer service, computer literacy, professional business writing, typing (minimum 30 wpm), and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and split days off
Preferred Qualifications

- A strong background in customer support, including excellent interpersonal skills, prompt agreeable assistance, and outstanding completion
- The ability to adapt and function well under stress in a fast-paced environment
- Capacity to take ownership and tackle issues, demonstrating problem-solving skills and initiative
- Strong time management skills, ensuring efficient issue resolution and minimal wait times
- Bilingual capabilities (or more)
