Job Responsibilities
As an Entry-Level Remote Data Analyst and Statistical Modeling Specialist, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
- Applying statistics evaluation tools and strategies to offer insights and actionable hints for the enterprise, using statistical modeling to make predictions about future results in multiple eventualities to enhance products and processes.
- Assisting in executing statistical and mathematical analyses to support business decision making for multiple business functions.
- Using algorithms and statistical predictive models, and participating in determining analytical methods and modeling strategies to assess scenarios and potential future outcomes.
- Applying analytical rigor and statistical techniques to analyze large quantities of data, using advanced statistical techniques, including predictive statistical models, customer profiling, segmentation analysis, survey design and analysis, and data mining.
- Developing simple tests and validating hypotheses through the application of various advanced mathematical, statistical, scientific, and/or computational techniques, including probability models, machine learning, data mining, pattern recognition, data visualization, predictive analytics, data warehousing, artificial intelligence, and/or other more complex techniques.
- Documenting assigned elements of projects, including business objectives, data collection and processing, primary methods, final algorithm, a detailed set of results, and analytical metrics.
- Assisting with creating materials to explain project findings and presenting interpretation of findings to internal clients.
- Escalating issues and roadblocks as they occur, and interacting with team members and stakeholders to provide semi-regular data associated with assigned projects.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of analytics, statistical, or mathematical concepts and techniques, with the ability to apply them in a practical setting.
- Knowledge of analysis and data interpretation, with experience working with large datasets and complex data systems.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, both within and outside the country.
