Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative - Remote, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and resolving routine problems and questions regarding our clients' products and services. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, utilizing your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include providing inbound customer support, helping customers prepare their tax returns, tracking and documenting information in databases, offering additional products and services, and delivering expert customer experiences with a smile.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Inbound Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries and concerns via phone, email, or online chat, providing timely and effective solutions to their problems.
- Tax Preparation Support: Assist customers with preparing their tax returns, answering questions, and providing guidance on tax-related matters.
- Database Management: Track, document, and retrieve information in databases, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Upselling and Cross-Selling: Offer additional products and services to customers, promoting our company's offerings and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Deliver Exceptional Customer Experiences: Provide expert customer experiences, ensuring that every interaction is positive, professional, and memorable.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Recent Tax Experience: You should have recent experience working with tax preparation software and/or handling tax-related customer inquiries.
- Customer Service Experience: You should have at least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or remote work environment.
- High School Diploma or GED: You should have a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Technical Skills: You should have strong computer navigation skills, proficiency in multi-tasking, and experience working with databases and software applications.
- Quiet and Distraction-Free Work Environment: You should have a quiet, distraction-free environment to work from in your home, with a reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a smartphone.
- Residency Requirements: You must reside in the United States or have a valid U.S. address for residence.
- Flexible Schedule: You should be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
