Job Synopsis: Agency Sales Manager

The Agency Sales Manager is a well-informed authority for corporate travel management companies at Alaska Airlines. As a singular contributor, this role practices significant judgment to make decisions that drive consistent revenue, utilizing aspects of our organization and corporate client associations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an informed authority for TMC (Travel Management Company) business for Alaska Airlines.
  • Builds key business relationships with TMC accounts focused on business travel valuable learning experiences for Alaska Airlines.
  • With minimal direction from leadership, practices extensive judgment to manage the pricing, cost analysis, and negotiations of all TMC agreements with the intent of securing the highest piece of the pie and yield possible in individual commercial centers.
  • Collaborate with legal and risk supervisory teams to develop contract-official arrangements.
  • Analyze revenue, limits, and agreement execution to ensure objective compliance and benefit.
  • Builds key business relationships with TMC accounts focused on business travel learning experiences for Alaska Airlines.
  • Develop marketing-related advancements to assist with driving sales efforts, planning intimately with marketing and business devotion teams.
  • Manage the portfolio of TMC organization accounts through sales calls, negotiating arrangements, and coordination with pricing.
  • Plan business development and lead advancement of other organization accounts through collaboration with the revenue supervisory team to ensure extraordinary passages are documented as needs be and drive expected revenue per the specifics of the arrangement.
  • Screen reporting and metrics to identify trends and to develop a strategy to ensure the organization is positioned suitably in the market.
  • Screen revenue, commissions, and agreement execution to ensure maximum revenues and offer objectives are accomplished.
  • Successfully manage and negotiate time and assets, maximizing revenue opportunities at the most cost-effective rate for Alaska Airlines.
  • Prepare and execute local sales plans according to corporate sales targets and ensure Alaska Airlines is strategically positioned among its competitors and utilizes its position in the commercial center.

Work-Specific Experience, Education, and Skills:

Required:

  • 2 years of experience in outside sales, with a focus in the retail administration environment or related area.
  • Four-year certification, or two additional years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

  • Previous airline experience.
  • Previous exposure to and utilization of travel industry information reporting sources like Sabre and Crystal.
  • Proficiency with CRM instrument Salesforce.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive results to the greatest advantage of the organization.
  • Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative associations with different teams and workgroups.
  • Strong organizational and time usage abilities, with the capacity to adapt to clashes caused by competing needs.
