Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team in California, USA. As a key member of our Data Engineering team, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and managing our cloud-based data warehouse. You'll work closely with our business partners, software development teams, and research partners to develop cutting-edge solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and manage our cloud-based data warehouse, ensuring data quality, security, and scalability.
* Develop and maintain ETL pipelines, data models, and data visualizations to support business intelligence, data analytics, and machine learning use cases.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements, design data architectures, and implement data solutions.
* Develop and maintain data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes using cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Ensure data security, compliance, and governance, adhering to Amazon's data security and compliance standards.
* Mentor and coach junior engineers on data engineering best practices, data modeling, and data visualization.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering, data science, and machine learning.
Essential Capabilities
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
* 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL pipeline development.
* Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and governance principles.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Capabilities
* Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
* Familiarity with data science and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
* Experience with containerization using Docker or Kubernetes.
* Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
* Certification in data engineering, data science, or cloud computing.
