Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Part-Time Adult Education Administrative Specialist and Career Coach to join our team at the UACCM Adult Education Faulkner County facility in Conway. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing general program support, managing the Faulkner County Technology Lending Library program, and serving as a Career Coach for Faulkner County. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Faulkner County Technology Lending Library program and ensure its effective operation.
- Serve as the designated Career Coach for Faulkner County, providing guidance and support to students in achieving their career goals.
- Assist with daily data entry tasks, maintain student files, and perform routine secretarial work in connection with confidential administrative records and documents.
- Greet students and visitors in a professional manner, serve as a switchboard attendant, and answer incoming calls when necessary.
- Schedule appointments for new student intake and orientation sessions, assist students with the completion of the Arkansas Adult Education Intake Form, and conduct TABE testing sessions for current and potential students.
- Participate in staff meetings, assist with the preparation of minutes from UACCM Adult Education monthly staff meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and cooperatively with a team.
- Proficiency in the use of general office equipment and computer software applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- The ability to deliver quality customer service and work effectively with people of various cultural backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- A Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- Three years of practical work experience in an office environment.
- Experience working in adult education or a related field.
