Job Summary
The SIS Coordinator will be responsible for providing expert support and training to users of the student information system, managing and maintaining school-level features and data, and collaborating with the IMT department to facilitate system enhancements and modifications. Key Responsibilities
- Become knowledgeable of all facets of the student information system and provide continuous training to users, including administrators, clerical staff, counselors, and other stakeholders.
 - Manage and maintain school-level features and data of the student information system, ensuring accuracy and integrity of student records.
 - Collaborate with the IMT department to design, test, and implement programs, as well as maintain detailed documentation records.
 - Work with users to determine precise needs, develop and assist in facilitating needed changes to the student information system, and update staff on enhancements, changes, and modifications.
 - Document and report problems and issues to district IMT support staff, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
 - Perform other duties as assigned or required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of the role.
 
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that align with the following requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED, supplemented by 2 years of verifiable work experience in an office environment using various computer programs.
 - Experience in an educational environment is desirable, although not essential, as we are committed to providing training and support to ensure your success.
 - Competency in keyboarding, with the ability to type accurately and efficiently, and possess excellent personal relations and communication skills.
 - Ability to meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendors, students, parents, and the general public.
 - Skill in operating a personal computer, utilizing a variety of software applications, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
 
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications and characteristics are highly desirable and will be considered an asset in the selection process:
- Experience working with student information systems, preferably in an educational setting.
 - Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county, and city statutes, rules, policies, and procedures, as well as Peoria Unified School District and departmental policies and procedures.
 - Ability to lift and carry heavy, bulky supplies and materials weighing up to 20 pounds, and willingness to work outside normal working hours or travel to perform work functions as required.
 - A valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and the ability to pass a background clearance check, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff.
