Job Summary

We're looking for a seasoned tax professional with a strong background in indirect tax audit and controversy to join our team as a Manager, Tax - Indirect Tax (Audit and Controversy). As a key member of our tax team, you'll play a vital part in revolutionizing our audit function by identifying and implementing process improvements, developing and executing audit plans, and collaborating with key stakeholders to identify refund opportunities within the audit process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a vital part in revolutionizing our audit function by identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Develop and execute audit plans, respond to tax authority information document requests, and negotiate audit strategies and results.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify refund opportunities within the audit process.
  • Build strong relationships with taxing authorities to resolve outstanding audit issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and transformation in the tax function.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and teams to drive process improvements and achieve business objectives.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a highly motivated and talented individual with a strong background in indirect tax audit and controversy. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant tax audit and controversy experience, with a proven track record of managing complex tax audits and audit plans.
  • Experience working with tax jurisdictions to resolve audit issues, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) qualification or Advanced Tax or Accounting Degree, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with taxing authorities and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in working with big data, complex reconciliations, and new technology, with a strong understanding of process improvements.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A talent for simplifying complex tax topics and issues for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong tax research and writing skills, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.

Salary Range

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field and 2 years' experience in accounting, finance, income tax compliance, or related area OR 4 years' experience in accounting, finance, income tax compliance, or related area.
