Experienced Data Analyst for Disney+ Product & Consumer Experience - Part-Time Remote Opportunity

Now, we're on the lookout for a talented and dedicated Data Analyst to join our Studio Research & Analytics team, working closely with our Disney+ Product, Marketing & Content Curation, and In-Home Marketing & Distribution teams.
Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to support our Disney+ initiatives, focusing on product and consumer experience monitoring programs. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for analyzing and synthesizing data, providing actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across our product marketing, engagement, and product strategy teams. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging your analytical expertise to shape the future of Disney's direct-to-consumer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research activities, including series and training of data, alongside extraction and analysis of data from multiple resources to build summaries, tables, and report sections.
 - Combine disparate data sets using SQL to support the daily operations of the Disney+ consumer experience monitoring program.
 - Partner with other teams to conduct research at Disney, communicating project goals, business needs, and timelines to effectively prioritize, innovate, and optimize our datasets.
 - Build and maintain relationships with research counterparts within the team and from other divisions of the company, as well as external vendors.
 - Analyze and prepare ongoing and ad hoc reports using quantitative and qualitative data for various teams within the product marketing, engagement, & product strategy of Disney+ and the Disney Streaming Bundle.
 - Manage assigned projects, implementing quality assurance processes, and report obligations and status to supervisor(s) to ensure completion within the established timeframe.
 - Work with the Sr. Manager and team to ensure that each outcome is strategically actionable and drives key decision-making.
 - Collaborate with the team & analytics agencies within Snowflake & Databricks.
 - Maintain both updated verbal & written understanding of data points and requirements.
 - Respond to critical data requests from internal clients.
 - Support presentation of findings based on research conducted and contribute to related business discussions.
 - Be at the forefront of SVOD & In-Home business developments amidst a constantly evolving landscape.
 
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Data Sciences, or a related field and three years of applicable work experience OR a Master's Degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Data Sciences, or a related field and one year of applicable work experience.
 - Proficiency with SQL, with the ability to extract and integrate disparate data resources.
 - The ability to extract data and integrate with other data resources to develop a rich, complete picture for the business.
 - Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical abilities.
 - The ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-moving environment.
 - Outstanding communication and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to create clear and concise visual presentations.
 - Strong multitasking abilities and the ability to work effectively in an environment of tight timeframes and constant change.
 
Preferred Qualifications
To stand out in this role, you'll ideally have:
- Proficiency in data processing tools (e.g., SPSS, Q, MarketSight).
 - Experience with survey tools (e.g., Decipher, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
 - Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or comparable.
 - Familiarity with R, Python, SAS, STATA, or comparable programming languages.
 - An advanced degree in Market Research or Statistics.
 - A quantitative research background, either supplier-side or client-side.
 - Experience with analyzing survey data to extract actionable insights.
 - Experience with subscription-based business models and strategy.
