Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Overnight Customer Support Representative, you will be responsible for providing accurate, timely, and effective customer service to our members, clients, and business partners. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering consumer questions via phone, email, or online, ranging from simple to sophisticated inquiries
  • Providing in-depth knowledge of our plans, products, services, prescriptions, and procedures
  • Processing payments, verifying eligibility, and checking order status and stock availability
  • Completing all required correspondence, forms, and documents accurately and efficiently
  • Investigating and addressing concerns and complaints, and choosing the best course of action to resolve issues
  • Demonstrating the value and benefits of our products, services, and solutions to clients and potential clients
  • Identifying consumer trends and sharing them with relevant leaders, divisions, and business partners, and providing recommendations for adjustments or fixes
  • Maintaining high levels of customer service standards and support levels, and keeping up-to-date with changes to policies, practices, and product details

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following competencies and qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a call center, insurance, manufacturing, software, telecommunications, retail, or eyewear industry, addressing moderate to complex consumer requests
  • Willingness to work any shift, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Demonstrated familiarity with the internet and basic browser settings
  • Ability to use multiple software applications simultaneously, including Microsoft Office
  • Effective verbal communication and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and incoming calls and requests
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to accurately record customer situations and draft letters to validate agreements
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to make decisions and implement customer/call handling principles with discretion and judgment

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are preferred:

  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Experience working in a remote or home-based environment
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other customer service tools
