Job Summary

As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for designing and developing data communications and dashboarding to prevent errors and drive improvements in our elite products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and IT, to analyze and summarize results, identify trends, and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions. Key Responsibilities

  • Build robust, flexible, and automated software tools to enable complex analysis of real-time data
  • Answer complex questions on change effect on manufacturing and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions
  • Cross-deliver data from different data storage areas and develop representations to communicate results effectively
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supplier, and IT teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement data-driven solutions
  • Contribute to the automation and standardization of our data pipelines and develop decision support systems, tools, and models to drive business outcomes
  • Provide thought leadership in analysis, modeling, and data science to advance the team's capabilities and results
  • Guide colleagues and collaborate internally and externally to solve business problems and drive improvements
  • Develop and program manage the execution of plans and business processes that are optimized for speed, accuracy, cost efficiency, capacity, and flexibility
  • Build information pipelines to advance ad-hoc data analyses into production dashboards that specialists can rely on
  • Design and execute metrics, applications, and tools that will enable engineers to self-serve their data insights
  • Work with architects to drive the adoption of your applications and tools
  • Write clean and tested code that can be maintained and extended by other programmers
  • Support and maintain your production applications and stay up-to-date on relevant technologies and methodologies

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering) or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • Solid knowledge of data structures, architectures, and languages like SQL
  • Experience and interest in data visualization procedures
  • Ability to issue solve and adapt to changing needs with minimal notice to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with statistical programming (R), database languages (SQL), simulation tools (Field, AnyLogic, FlexSim), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, d3.js)

  • Experience building data visualizations and developing decision support systems
  • Experience writing software in a professional environment
  • Curious and driven to solve complex problems
  • Intelligent but humble, with a bias for action
