Job Summary
As a Senior Data Science Analyst in our Credit & Fraud Risk Finance team, you'll play a critical role in supporting the development of Net Loss Provision forecasts and credit risk-related insights. You'll work closely with senior management, Finance teams, Risk Management, and Marketing teams to analyze complex data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities
- Support Provision Forecasting & Results Analysis: Collaborate with Chief Credit Officers to analyze International Card portfolios, develop forecasts, and provide insights on recoveries.
- Develop and Present Key Analyses: Create and present monthly recoveries outcomes and key analyses to senior management, highlighting key drivers of change.
- Provide Thought Leadership: Contribute to the development and enhancement of Recoveries Forecasting models and strategic business analytics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across the Risk Finance agency to support American Express's long-term growth targets.
Essential Qualifications
- Hands-on Experience: Experience working with financial analytics, using large datasets, and developing models.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel modeling skills, high level of scalability in PowerPoint, proficiency in SQL, Hive/Yellow Brick, and Python.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in card risk control or 1+ year of work experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional Technical Skills: Experience with TM1, Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization tools.
