We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our Patient Care Coordinator team. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for handling monthly refill requests, ensuring accurate documentation, and coordinating with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. This is a remote opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home and enjoy a flexible work schedule.Key Responsibilities
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for:- Answering incoming calls from patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding nutrition treatment requests and status updates.
 - Triage calls to different departments as needed.
 - Verifying patient demographics and insurance information to ensure accurate shipment and delivery of patient care services.
 - Handling new patient orders and updating electronic medical records in a timely and accurate manner.
 - Collaborating with the patient confirmation department to ensure seamless onboarding of patients with our services.
 
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:- A minimum of one year of experience working in a customer-facing environment, preferably in a healthcare setting.
 - Experience with data entry and electronic medical records (EMRs) is highly desirable.
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
 
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:- Experience working in a home infusion or durable medical equipment (DME) setting.
 - Call center experience or background in customer service.
 - Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient care or clinical role.
