Job Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
  • Reviewing and organizing Prescriber Evaluation Referral Forms (PERF), gathering internal and external prescribing data, and coordinating prescriber and patient mailings within specific timeframes.
  • Creating and releasing COMPASS and RHM communications.
  • Generating ad hoc reviews for the prescriber assessment team and assisting in presentations to the Integrity and Patient Safety teams.
  • Secondary support for the Good Faith Dispensing coverage administration.
  • Researching and analyzing managed substance orders placed manually at the store level, determining if the orders are suspicious based on ordering patterns and circumstances, and taking appropriate actions to educate the individual on proper ordering practices.
  • Generating reports and providing data to DEA dealers on dispensing patterns, prescriber or patient profiles within a 48-hour window.
  • Building ad hoc queries to pull data outside of regular reporting requirements.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge about issues such as managed substance ordering practices, GFD policies, and DEA licensing requirements.
  • Assisting stores and field supervision with questions via email and phone on various related topics.
  • Assisting analysts in developing and reviewing store audits for managed substance losses.
  • Collaborating with Pharmacy Managers and Supervisors to ensure that losses are reported within the required timeframe and with 100% accuracy.
  • Managing prescriber pricing decision systems, validating and updating prescriber data, and collaborating with Pharmacists to ensure that any prescription blocking is legitimate.
  • Researching and analyzing requests for increases to managed substance allocations, making informed decisions based on collaboration with Pharmacy Managers, Supervisors, and object vendors.
  • Mitigating risk to the organization by ensuring that due diligence is completed and documented.
  • Assisting in the implementation and updating of the Good Faith Dispensing and Target Drug Good Faith Dispensing policies.
  • Utilizing skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to query databases to assist analysts in the development of presentations and training for store staff and supervision.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A High School Diploma/GED and at least three years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
  • Required certification in Certified Pharmacy Technician as granted by PTCB.
  • Experience with prescriber licensing requirements (NPI, DEA, and state licenses).
  • Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with query databases.
  • Experience with reading and reporting data to identify problems, trends, or exceptions to drive outcomes and find solutions.
  • Experience speaking effectively (written and verbal) as suitable for the needs of the audience.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience with:
  • Internal Walgreens systems, including SIMS and IC.
  • Managed substance ordering practices within Walgreens (PDQ's, RxQuick Order, and Passport).
