About the Role
As an API/Integration Architect at Capgemini, you'll be responsible for leading the enterprise application integration (EAI) strategy and platform, encompassing SOA, EDI, ETL, and Data Virtualization architecture. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work onsite or remotely, and is an excellent opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and experience in driving business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of EAI strategy and platform, ensuring seamless integration across various heterogeneous systems within the HIG GB ecosystem.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to drive guidelines, documentation, and best practices in API development and integration.
- Provide advanced technical expertise and oversight for resolving outages, service level issues, and other events, working closely with support teams.
- Define proactive activities and tasks to optimize stability, performance, and architecture, ensuring the highest level of service delivery.
- Partner with information security to ensure all applicable security and compliance standards are incorporated into service design.
- Create, design, and oversee the implementation of enterprise integration capabilities, leveraging SOAP and REST services, XML and JSON message formats, and SOA governance tools.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A strong understanding of API development, including SOAP and REST services, XML and JSON message formats.
- 5-7 years of overall programming experience in Java/JEE related technologies.
- 2-3 years of experience in API development, with a focus on designing Channel, Process, and System APIs.
- Solid experience with REST and SWAGGER, as well as API Implementation Patterns, API taxonomy, and API LifeCycle.
- Exposure to SOA governance tools, such as SoftwareAG Centrasite.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- Experience with data virtualization and ETL tools.
- Knowledge of cloud-based integration platforms.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
