Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions to inform treatment plans and drive progress
  • Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans under the guidance of a BCBA Supervisor
  • Collaborate with BCBA Supervisors to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors, maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional services

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To succeed as a Behavioral Technician at Key Autism Services, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or be working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology)
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting
  • 1 year of ABA experience or equivalent experience as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A reliable vehicle and personal means of transportation
  • The ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families
