If you're driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents on the autism spectrum, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity.

About the Role

As a Children's Autism/ABA Behavior Therapist with Key Autism Services, you'll play a vital role in delivering one-on-one Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children in the comfort of their own homes. Working under the guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you'll be instrumental in helping our clients achieve their full potential and reach their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, one-on-one ABA therapy sessions to children with autism, tailored to their individual needs and goals.
  • Collect and record behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions to inform treatment plans and progress monitoring.
  • Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support plans, and execute treatment plans designed by a BCBA.
  • Collaborate closely with your BCBA supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Respond promptly to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors, maintaining a professional and goal-oriented approach in all aspects of your work.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and reliability by arriving on time and being prepared for therapy sessions, with a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and auto insurance to travel between client locations.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School diploma or GED as a minimum educational requirement.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting, with a preference for experience in ABA or related fields such as special education, direct support, or medical assistance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • A reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and clean driving record to travel to client locations.
  • The ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities requiring fine and gross motor skills, such as bending, kneeling, and squatting.
  • A willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor settings, with the capacity to respond quickly to the movements and behaviors of children.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications and certifications can significantly enhance your application:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or a willingness to obtain it.
  • Experience using Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plans with youth and families.
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting.

What We Offer

At Key Autism Services, we're committed to supporting your professional growth and well-being:
