Job Summary

As a Patient Care Advocate - Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for all aspects related to entering medication orders and providing customer service to patients in a call center environment. You will work under general supervision, following standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks, and may assist in orienting and training new employees. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our patients receive exceptional care and support, while also maintaining accurate records and resolving customer service issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate Data Entry: Enter medication orders and patient information into our system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their inquiries, and directing calls to appropriate staff as needed.
  • Documentation: Document patient-reported information into TherigySTM, ensuring that all relevant information is captured and recorded.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve customer service issues and provide solutions to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Payment-Related Issues: Work with members to resolve payment-related issues on accounts/orders.
  • Production and Performance: Maintain and keep reasonable production as determined by supervisor.
  • Training and Development: Assist in orienting and training new employees, and complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Experience in a customer service-related field, with a strong desire to work in the healthcare industry.
  • Availability: Must be available and on-time for scheduled work shifts, including nights and weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification: Pharmacy technician or related certification preferred.
  • Experience: 6-12 months experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
  • Registration: Registered with the State of Mississippi as a Pharmacy Technician (for Mississippi employees).
