As a People Technology Intern within the People team at Dropbox, you'll gain extensive experience with key aspects of technology to serve the function.
Role Description
As a People Technology Intern, you'll participate in several key initiatives for the function through the implementation of technology enhancements, contribute to user-centric design, and bring together technical and business teams to improve employee experience. This internship provides substantial senior leadership exposure with Dropbox's People technology leaders across People and IT, deep insights into People technology, and the opportunity to develop skills in:
- People tech strategy development
- Business analysis
- Program management and operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, shadow, or lead comprehensive People Technology initiatives throughout the 12-week internship, gaining hands-on experience in the end-to-end process.
- Learn how to apply design-thinking principles to ensure a user-centric approach in developing solutions within the realm of People systems and enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from both the People and IT departments to gather requirements and feedback for a technology project, ensuring alignment with the overall technology strategy.
- Learn and apply best practices for communicating business requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, gaining exposure to process improvement, business partnership, and asynchronous communication.
- Execute specific tasks related to People Technology projects under the guidance of team managers, with a focus on areas such as:
- Workday operations
- System audits
- Process documentation
- Contribute to solving predefined problems for business teams, actively participating in the enhancement of HR processes and technology implementations.
- Engage in learning opportunities to develop a foundational understanding of HR operations, Workday, and other People Technology tools.
- Attend People Technology team meetings to familiarize yourself with various sub-domains within the field, gaining insight into ongoing projects and discussions.
- Demonstrate commitment by following through on assigned tasks, taking responsibility for delivering quality work within established timelines.
Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should:
- Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, graduating in 2026.
- Be curious about Technology and the People function with a keenness to apply design-thinking principles.
- Possess strong communication skills, with an ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
