Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician - IPU Remote Pennsylvania, you will work independently in a remote setting, providing advanced administrative and operational support to our pharmacy team. You will serve as an intake for all calls from patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers, utilizing your knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures to resolve issues and provide solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers, responding to calls and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures to resolve issues and provide solutions, working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Perform advanced administrative and operational tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and documentation.
  • Apply mathematical skills to perform calculations and verify accuracy of medication orders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of brand and generic drug names, formulary, and pharmacy procedures.
  • Build and maintain IPU patient profiles, ensuring accuracy and completeness of medication information.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with pharmacy systems and equipment, utilizing knowledge of ADS troubleshooting and other technical skills.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and pharmacies to verify medication orders and obtain necessary information.
  • Escalate urgent requests and issues to senior team members or management as needed.

Schedule and Requirements

As an IPU Remote Pennsylvania, you will work a unique schedule, including:

  • 7 days on, 7 days off
  • Thursday: 8:00pm - 8:30am ET
  • Friday: 8:00pm - 9:00am ET
  • Saturday: 8:00pm - 9:00am ET
  • Sunday: 8:00pm - 8:30am ET
  • Monday: 10:00pm - 8:30am ET
  • Tuesday: 11:00pm - 8:30am ET
  • Wednesday: 11:00pm - 8:30am ET

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in pharmacy, healthcare, or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, with experience in data entry and pharmacy operations.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Docuware, and Infinity, with experience with pharmacy management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician, with experience in IPU or similar pharmacy operations.
  • Experience with ADS troubleshooting and technical support.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working in a remote or home-based environment.
