About the Role

We're seeking experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) to join our outpatient clinical team in Minnesota. As a PMHNP with LifeStance Health, you'll play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals, adolescents, and adults struggling with various mental health issues. Our ideal candidate is a licensed PMHNP with at least one year of experience, a passion for patient care, and a commitment to clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals, adolescents, and adults with various mental health conditions, including medication management and therapy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and licensed therapists to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe and manage medications, as well as provide education on medication use and potential side effects.
  • Therapy: Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medication management.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with the latest developments in psychiatric care, attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Fully licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Minnesota, with an unencumbered DEA.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience as a PMHNP, with a focus on medication management and therapy.
  • Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHRs): Familiarity with EHR systems, including documentation and medication management.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience in leadership or management roles, with a focus on team development and mentorship.
  • Certifications: Certification in psychiatric-mental health nursing (e.g., PMHNP-BC).
