We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical / Call Center Representative to work in a remote setting. As a key member of our team, you will serve as the primary point of contact for pharmacy benefit information, prior authorization requests, and navigation support. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members, human resources departments, pharmacies, and providers, ensuring that their questions and issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.Key Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Technical / Call Center Representative, your key responsibilities will include:- Serving as the primary point of contact for pharmacy benefit information, prior authorization requests, and navigation support, responding to inquiries received by telephone, chat, fax, email, or written correspondence.
- Fielding questions from members, human resources departments, pharmacies, and providers related to mail order, benefit design, formulary coverage and cost of medication, prior authorization criteria, claims adjudication, and ensuring individual's questions and issues are resolved.
- Supporting Clinical Pharmacists in patient and provider outreaches, including scheduling of appointments between members and pharmacists, enrollment of members into Rightway clinical programs, medication adherence support, and other administrative tasks.
- Assisting in ensuring all operating and productivity standards are met, which may include conducting quality reviews of calls, chats, and documentation notes to identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:- An active National LIC-CPHT (Certified Pharmacy Technician License).
- A call center background with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy technician role within a PBM, pharmacy department of a health plan, or similar managed care setting.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, critical thinker, empathetic, and ability to dig deep in understanding an issue to get to true root cause and resolution.
- Desire to improve a patient's healthcare experience and provide concierge-level service.
- Background check required.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:- 1-2 years of experience working in a mail order or specialty pharmacy.
- Experience with pharmacy benefit management systems and software.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
