System and Software V&V Engineer
Performance Objectives:
- Define and document the system integration, validation, and verification strategy.
 - Oversee and execute the system integration, validation, and verificartion activities.
 - Develop system validation and verification plans, procedures, and reports.
 - Identify the system and subsystem test setup, instrumentation, and environment for black-box systems.
 
Responsibilities:
- Technical oversight for a team of system and subsystem validation and verification engineers, including task assignment, prioritization, and review.
 - Develop the overall program strategy for system integration, validation, and verification, ensuring alignment with program objectives for certification, as well as R&D activities.
 - Lead the program planning and execution of system integration, validation, and verification activities, including simulation-based testing in support of requirements validation and verification.
 - Develop and deploy requirements development and verification processes that align with SAE ARP 4754A, regulatory guidance, and quality assurance practices.
 - Lead the design of the test setup, instrumentation, environment, and coverage for black-box systems.
 - Implement manual and automated testing approaches and methodologies.
 - Enforce documentation of test plans, procedures and simulation environments, and ensure results are captured and under configuration control.
 - Manage verification testing of multiple software and hardware configurations.
 - Collaborate with external customers in integration and testing activities.
 - Participate in Critical Design Reviews and conduct Test Readiness Reviews.
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related STEM degree.
 - 10+ years of experience working in a highly technical, aerospace-related industry.
 - 5+ years of experience as technical team lead with responsibilities covering integration, validation, verification, and qualification of complex avionics or terrestrial systems.
 - Experience with SAE ARP 4754A or equivalent.
 - Relevant experience with the architectural aspects of a simulation environment.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Engineering degree (Masters) from an accredited institution.
 - Familiarity with RTCA DO-178C, DO-254, and DO-331.
 - Familiarity with integrating and testing client-server architectures and cloud technologies.
