Vulnerability Analyst (Remote - US)

This role provides an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic cybersecurity and IT team focused on protecting critical healthcare technology platforms. As a Vulnerability Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities across complex infrastructure environments. You will work closely with DevOps, IT, and database teams to ensure the security, compliance, and reliability of enterprise systems. The role also involves supporting Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, monitoring alerts, investigating incidents, and contributing to overall incident response. This position offers a hybrid work structure, a collaborative environment, and the chance to make a direct impact on enterprise-wide security.
Accountabilities:
- Administer and manage the vulnerability management program, including identification, prioritization, and remediation of security risks.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts as part of SOC operations, contributing to investigations and incident response processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as DevOps, IT, and DBA to remediate vulnerabilities and improve security posture.
- Maintain technical documentation, present security concepts to stakeholders, and provide guidance on infrastructure security best practices.
- Participate in project planning, technology vendor management, and implementation of security initiatives.
- Adapt to rapidly changing environments while proactively improving security processes and workflows.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations including HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2, and HITRUST.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in IT or security-focused roles.
- Solid understanding of vulnerability management programs and Security Operations best practices.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac endpoints, cloud computing environments, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Familiarity with Threat Detection and Response, Data Loss Prevention, Incident Response, and SIEM tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.
- Relevant security certifications are a plus.
- Self-starter, proactive, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
