We operate EXL, a before- and after-school program, and Broadway Now!, a unique initiative that offers our EXL students the opportunity to participate in theater arts programs. Our work is centered around delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that our families feel supported, heard, and valued throughout their journey with us.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide top-notch customer service through multiple channels, including phone and email, addressing the needs and concerns of parents/guardians in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with the enrollment process for EXL and Broadway Now! programs, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for families.
  • Generate weekly enrollment and attendance reports for various Broadway Now! programs, analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Investigate instances of high "no show" rates among students, contacting parents/guardians during evening hours and weekends as needed to understand the causes and report findings to program coordinators.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently, maintaining a positive and supportive relationship with our families.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our programs to effectively address customer queries and provide accurate information.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless customer support and a cohesive customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints.
  • Stay up-to-date with company policies, procedures, and program updates to ensure that you're always equipped to provide the best possible support.
  • Meet or exceed established performance goals and metrics, continuously striving to improve customer satisfaction and overall experience.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or related field, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing customer issues and concerns.
  • The ability to multitask and manage your time effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, maintaining accurate records and ensuring that all customer interactions are documented.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with customer service software, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service, with a customer-centric approach.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in Spanish, both verbally and in writing, to support our Spanish-speaking families.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A college degree or higher, with a background in a related field such as education, communications, or customer service.
  • Previous experience working with families or in an educational setting, with an understanding of the unique needs and challenges of this population.
  • Familiarity with the arts education sector or experience working with arts programs, with a passion for the mission and values of Transforming Arts & Minds.
