Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data pipelines to support business insights and analytics
- Create software that processes, stores, and serves data for use by others
- Develop data models and pipelines to integrate, aggregate, and normalize data that produces insights and meets reporting needs
- Write ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database frameworks, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytical processing
- Create data pipelines that are flexible, repeatable, and secure
- Analyze software and processes for data consistency and integrity
- Integrate data from various sources, ensuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards
- Troubleshoot issues and roadblocks as they arise
- Interface with internal and external partners or potential managers to exchange semi-complex data related to assigned activities
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 2 years of experience in data engineering; OR advanced degree in a technical discipline
- Advanced knowledge of SQL
- Experience establishing and maintaining key relationships with internal (peers, colleagues, and leadership) and external (business community, customers, and vendors) stakeholders within a matrix organization to ensure quality standards for service
- Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of outcomes and find solutions
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (in-state and out-of-state)
Preferred Qualifications
The following preferred qualifications will be considered a plus:
- Advanced degree in a technical discipline
- Experience with REST API development
- Experience with Azure application deployment
- Experience in Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks using Python or Scala, Application Services, Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Event Grids, and Logic Apps
- Experience in building Azure DevOps pipelines to enable CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation
