Walmart, the Fortune organization, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Data Analytics & Data Governance to join our team in California. As a Chief, Information Investigation and Information Administration - Worldwide Obtaining, you will play a critical role in driving business insights and strategic decision making across our global operations.
About the Role
In this full-time, 8-hour position, you will oversee and supervise a wide range of critical financial activities, including financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, and business analysis. You will partner with our Obtaining teams across essential business regions, including Food, Consumables, Health, and Wellness, to identify key obtaining opportunities and investment choices that drive annual and long-range plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving Key Investigation - Understanding key obtaining processes, financial/operational metrics, and business objectives and targets to analyze, interpret, and communicate business performance, identify valuable opportunities, and enable strategic investment choices.
- Being a Trusted Advisor - Rapidly developing strong and trusting relationships with internal teams. Accompany and participate in business strategy discussions and influence key business decisions with informed recommendations using facts and data.
- Delivering Data-Driven Insights - Obtaining and assembling relevant data; organizing and validating data before data analysis; consolidating and identifying exceptions and patterns in data; combining data in the creation of meaningful customer insights; and translating information into actionable plans.
- Practicing Continuous Process Improvement - Working across the organization to identify and resolve issues with a customer-centric mentality, presenting groundbreaking ideas and influencing positive change.
- Gaining a Deep Understanding of Obtaining - Demonstrating the ability to learn and stay up-to-date on a deep understanding of Worldwide Obtaining and new and innovative fixes to assist the business in making the best decisions.
- Driving a Better Way of Working - Propelling our journey to become a more digital and data-driven team by utilizing and supporting data visualization tools to drive the business and educating our partners to advance adoption.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience leading numerical or statistical research, analysis, and modeling expertise, corporate security, or a related area.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Scene, or comparable tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate insights effectively.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to partner with internal teams and drive business decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
To stand out in this role, you will have:
- Experience with large dataset mining tools and open-source software tools (e.g., R, Python, HiveQL, Flash).
- Experience with data management tools such as Dataplex, Collibra, or comparable tools.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Business analysis and reporting, Microsoft Office, and statistical modeling programming skills.
