**Responsibilities**
As an Experienced Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include:
* **Typing/Merging, Proofing, and Mailing Correspondence**: Ensure that all correspondence is accurate, complete, and mailed in a timely manner.
* **Communicating with External Customers**: Provide excellent verbal and written communication to furnish and request review information from beneficiaries and providers.
* **Fostering Effective Relationships**: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, including beneficiaries, providers, and colleagues.
* **Identifying Areas for Improvement**: Participate in Review Team discussions to identify areas for potential improvement and implement changes to enhance processes.
* **Answering the Beneficiary Helpline**: Utilize the hunt group and available light functions to assist callers with their inquiries and provide referrals to external agencies as needed.
* **Maintaining Timeliness and Accuracy**: Ensure that all letters and correspondence are sent out in a timely manner, with correct components included and reviewed for grammatical and spacing errors.
* **Validating Notices and Medical Records**: Obtain and validate notices and all components of medical records.
* **Providing Intake for Appeals**: Assist with the intake process for all appeals received by Arsenault.
* **Utilizing Quality Control Tools**: Assess individual work and team processes using internal quality control tools.
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* **High School Diploma or Equivalent**: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with post-high school business courses a plus.
* **Medical Terminology**: Medical terminology is desired, but not required.
* **Excellent Verbal Communication Skills**: Possess excellent verbal communication skills, a courteous and patient demeanor, and the ability to maintain composure under potentially stressful situations.
* **Good Grammar, Punctuation, and Written Communication Skills**: Demonstrate good grammar, punctuation, and written communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise correspondence.
* **Customer Focused and Results Oriented**: Be customer-focused, results-oriented, and capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.
* **General Knowledge of PC-Based Computer Systems**: Possess a general knowledge of PC-based computer systems, with the ability to learn additional software packages as needed.
* **Multi-Tasking and Prioritization**: Be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments, with good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
**Experience**
We are seeking an individual with:
* **Two to Three Years of Clerical Experience**: Two to three years of clerical experience, including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities.
* **Prior Work in a Healthcare Setting**: Prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology is recommended, with previous data entry or other clerical experience a plus.
