Chief Financial Officer
This is a remote position.
BruntWork is a leading offshore recruitment and staffing company for outsource remote workers. We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the development of BruntWork's finance operations, multinational entity reporting and financial governance as we scale up from a midsize to large scale enterprise in the global outsourcing sector.
This is a remote role, that may involve some very occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to drive business strategy, growth, and profitability.
- Provide financial insights to guide decision-making, growth, and operational priorities.
- Provide financial guidance on potential acquisitions, mergers, and restructuring activities.
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Oversee preparation of compliant financial statements and documentation across BruntWork group entities for submission to tax authorities, corporate regulators, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Deliver consolidated management financial reports, analysis, and commentary to senior leadership and the board.
- Lead day-to-day finance team operations, including invoicing, payments/payroll, collections, reconciliations, and reporting.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Develop and maintain strong internal financial controls, risk management frameworks, and governance policies, with an emphasis on fraud/error prevention.
- Ensure cross-border compliance with Singaporean corporate advisory, taxation, and reporting requirements.
- Establish and refine processes to support multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional operations.
Process & Systems Optimisation
- Drive initiatives such as enterprise accounting system upgrades, process automation, and data-driven reporting enhancements.
- Implement cost optimisation strategies, including transaction and payment fee reduction.
- Develop and manage currency hedging strategies to mitigate cross-border financial risks.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, long-term modeling and scenario analysis.
- Monitor and report on performance against budget.
Required Experience & Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA/CA preferred).
- Proven senior finance leadership experience (CFO, Group Financial Controller, or equivalent role) in a multinational business.
- Strong expertise in Singaporean corporate advisory, taxation, compliance, and statutory reporting.
- Demonstrated success managing cross-border and multi-currency operations.
- Track record of contributing to or leading acquisitions, mergers, or restructuring projects.
- Deep understanding of financial risk management, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise accounting systems, financial modeling, and reporting tools.
