As a Senior Analyst - Control Management within the Product/Service Risk Advisory team, you will play a crucial role in embedding control management into the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring that operational risk management is a priority across multiple business units and geographies.
About the Role
The Senior Analyst - Control Management position is a key role within the U.S. Consumer Services Control Management Product/Service Risk Advisory team. This team is responsible for providing specialized and strategic risk advisory support specific to product and service areas. As a Senior Analyst, you will assist in providing risk advisory support, compiling best practices, and ensuring that operational risk management considerations are embedded into the product lifecycle and service operations. Your work will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across various business units, functional areas, and geographies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in providing strategic risk advisory support for specific product/service areas, ensuring that operational risk management is a priority.
 - Compile best practices and learnings from historical product launches and change management initiatives, and support leveraging these best practices to inform risk identification throughout the new product lifecycle.
 - Support day-to-day activities to assess the needs of business unit and functional leaders, ensuring sufficient understanding of Operational Risk Management (ORM) and controls.
 - Coordinate with product development and service delivery teams to embed operational risk management considerations into the product lifecycle and service operations.
 - Facilitate risk awareness and education within product and service teams to enhance their ability to manage risks effectively.
 
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience in operational risk management, preferably within a Risk or Internal Audit function, with a deep understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities.
 - Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
 - Experience in process governance, establishing and overseeing robust decision-making processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and operational standards.
 - Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively.
 
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous.
 - Digital savviness and knowledge or interest in emerging risk fields such as Payments, Artificial Intelligence, and Web3.
 - Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    
- Assisting in day-to-day activities to assess the needs of business unit leaders to ensure sufficient understanding of Operational Risk Management and controls.
 - Compiling and sharing best practices and learnings from historical product launches and change management initiatives.
 - Coordinating with product development and service delivery teams to embed operational risk considerations into the product lifecycle and service operations.
