As a Senior Engineer - Collaboration/Workplace Technology, you'll be a key member of our collaboration platform engineering staff, working across the organization to provide a friction-less experience to our customers and maintain the highest standards of protection and availability. You'll lead projects involving major business collaboration platforms, advocate for best practices, and drive the technical architecture and implementation of new collaboration services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects involving major business collaboration platforms, such as Webex, Zoom, Slack, and Teams, and advocate for best practices.
  • Assume Service Ownership of existing business collaboration platforms and services, ensuring high-quality technology products and services.
  • Manage end-to-end voice and video quality by working closely with the network and telecom team to provide capacity recommendations.
  • Drive enhancement and continuously improve the quality of collaboration services and end-user experience.
  • Implement platform upgrades and feature expansions to existing collaboration platforms.
  • Define the technical architecture and support the implementation of new collaboration services from a technical perspective.
  • Provide technical leadership in driving projects migrating from existing platforms to new platforms.
  • Contribute to decision-making and drive projects involving major business collaboration platforms.
  • Drive proof of concepts to test new technologies and collaboration platforms, working closely with network and telecommunication teams.
  • Assure 24x7 operations and stability of collaboration services with high regard for end-user experience.
  • Support the creation of the enterprise-level roadmap in terms of collaboration for future business demands.
  • Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient systems.
  • Provide knowledge sharing, mentoring, and systems training to junior team members as needed.
  • Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams.
  • Contribute to significant business initiatives, attend scrum meetings, and give presentations.
  • Solve difficult problems, learn new technologies, and push the boundaries of what's possible.
  • Work to understand and build product definition, leveraging your technical skills to drive towards the right solution.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 4+ years of engineering experience on collaboration platforms, such as Slack and Zoom.
  • 3+ years of experience with architecture and design.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
  • 2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks.
  • 2+ years of experience with any scripting and API integration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
  • Experience in decision-making and driving projects involving major collaboration platforms.
  • Knowledge of collaboration products and hardware, including video endpoints, Room Kits, Webex Boards, Control Hub, LDAP integration, deployment, management, API integrations, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of security and compliance needs of the business and how they apply to the Collaboration suite.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, oral and written communication skills, and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • Experience with installation, configuration, and management of audio infrastructure.
  • Experience triaging complex call flows across environments, including log collection and packet capture.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Azure AD.
  • Experience with vendor management and technical support.
  • Understanding of Virtual and Cloud infrastructures.
  • Understanding of networking protocols, devices, and telephony applications on Telecom Routers.

Our compensation package is competitive, with a salary range of $85,000 to $230,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
