About the Role
The Senior PeopleSoft Systems Analyst will be instrumental in supporting the PeopleTools upgrade to version 8.60 (patch 11) from version 8.59 (patch 09). This critical project requires a professional with extensive PeopleSoft experience, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. As a Senior PeopleSoft Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting fit-gap analysis, executing upgrade scripts, performing system configurations, and retrofitting existing code to ensure a seamless upgrade process while enhancing system security and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the PeopleTools upgrade to version 8.60 for NYCAPS Retiree systems, ensuring compatibility and minimal disruption to existing functionalities.
- Conduct thorough fit-gap analysis, design, and execute upgrade scripts to facilitate a smooth transition.
- Configure system components and retrofit existing code to ensure compatibility with the upgraded PeopleTools version.
- Perform comprehensive unit and regression testing of PeopleSoft components, including web services, interfaces, and reports.
- Ensure system security by addressing vulnerabilities and upgrading tools to supported Oracle versions, thereby protecting against potential threats.
- Document HR and Benefits Administration processes and technical solutions, providing clear and concise guides for future reference.
- Troubleshoot and resolve PeopleSoft-related system issues, providing timely and effective production support to minimize downtime.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following mandatory skills and experience:
- Extensive PeopleSoft 8.x/9.x (v. 9.2 preferred) techno-functional experience in HR and Benefits Administration, with a deep understanding of the system's capabilities and limitations.
- A minimum of five (5) full lifecycle PeopleSoft HR and/or Benefits Admin implementations, demonstrating your ability to manage complex projects from start to finish.
- Hands-on experience with PeopleCode, SQR, SQL, Application Designer, and SQL Developer, showcasing your technical proficiency.
- Experience working with app messaging (Integration Broker), highlighting your ability to integrate PeopleSoft with other systems.
- Proven experience developing and supporting PeopleSoft interfaces with legacy and third-party systems, ensuring seamless integration.
- A deep understanding of PeopleSoft HCM database models and related components, allowing you to navigate and optimize the system effectively.
- Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and large-scale enterprise implementations, demonstrating your ability to manage and deliver complex projects.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, enabling you to work effectively with stakeholders and team members.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following skills and experience are highly desirable:
- Experience with PeopleSoft HCM v9.2, indicating your familiarity with the latest version of the system.
- Expertise in documenting business processes for HR and Benefits, showcasing your ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation.
- Working knowledge of data integration and troubleshooting for PeopleSoft applications, highlighting your ability to resolve complex issues.
- Familiarity with Oracle support processes and managing support tickets for database and application issues, demonstrating your ability to navigate Oracle's support ecosystem.
