Job Summary
We're seeking a Senior Staff Engineer - Finance Data Specialist to lead the development and implementation of our Finance Data Lake/Mart. This role requires a deep understanding of finance systems, data management, and technology, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive business outcomes. As a Senior Staff Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing solutions that meet the needs of our finance organization, while also driving innovation and excellence in data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Finance Data Management: Leverage your expertise in finance systems and data management to design and implement a Finance Data Lake/Mart that meets the needs of our organization.
 - Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with finance leaders, technology teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that our Finance Data Lake/Mart is aligned with business objectives and meets the needs of our organization.
 - Lead Design Sessions: Lead design sessions with peers to ensure that our systems are well-designed, efficient, and meet business expectations.
 - Develop Roadmaps: Work with business sponsors to develop project roadmaps that align with business objectives and are sequenced by priority and resource availability.
 - Implement Revenue and Expense Analytical Solutions: Support the development and implementation of revenue and expense analytical solutions using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
 - Ensure Strong Control and Governance: Support the implementation of a strong control and governance framework and maintain it for SOX and Audit reviews.
 - Analyze and Translate Business Requirements: Analyze and translate business and functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications.
 - Share Best Practices: Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams.
 
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 20+ years of Finance Systems experience: Industry-leading ERP solutions (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud, Workday, or SAP) experience is required.
 - 5+ years of experience in implementing and supporting FP&A applications: Experience with FP&A budgeting, planning, and reforecasting processes is preferred.
 - 5+ years of experience working with or supporting a Finance Data Lake/Warehouse/Mart: Experience with various financial reporting tools is required.
 - Solid understanding of Dimensional Data Modeling: Ability to design and implement data models that meet business needs.
 - Deep Finance domain expertise: Ability to work with senior finance leaders to interpret their process and functional needs into system solutions.
 - Strong understanding of Accounting process and reporting expectations: Ability to partner with senior finance leaders to drive business outcomes.
 - Ability to communicate and work directly with leaders across Technology and Finance: Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
 - Sound understanding of project management techniques, methodologies, and best practices: Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
 - Strong problem-solving abilities: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
 - Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment: Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
 
Education
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent education or work experience is required.
