Key Responsibilities
- Pitching and Securing Guests: Proactively pitch and secure guests, revenue opportunities, and content ideas to ensure the most appropriate guests appear on the most suitable platform.
- Leadership within the Talent Producers Group: Guide less experienced team members, lead meetings, and manage direct reports to foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Managing Talent Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with athletes, coaches, celebrity talent, and their representatives to ensure successful bookings and content creation.
- Understanding ESPN Platforms: Recognize the differences between various ESPN shows and platforms to suggest appropriate and timely guests, working closely with production counterparts to explore alternative options.
- Internal Relationships and Collaboration: Continually seek, develop, and maintain excellent internal relationships across different platforms and job functions to drive content and talent opportunities.
- Database Management: Maintain an extensive database of athletes, coaches, managers, team executives, celebrities, and their agents to facilitate guest booking and content development.
- Driving Conversation and Content: Contribute to regular editorial meetings by suggesting story ideas and guest possibilities for various shows, collaborating with other talent producers and production teams to anticipate guest needs based on upcoming seasons, news relevance, and show requirements.
- On-Site Support: Provide on-site support for guest bookings, including in-house and remote booked guests, as well as commercial shoots and events, as needed.
- Flexibility and Availability: Remain accessible and be prepared to work non-traditional days/hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the role.
Essential Qualifications
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Demonstrate outstanding communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external talent.
- Team Leadership: Ability to plan and lead effectively in a team environment, guiding less experienced members and managing direct reports.
- Deep Sports Knowledge and Entertainment Rolodex: Possess a deep understanding of the sports industry and a network of contacts within the entertainment sector.
- Guest/Talent Booking Experience: Have experience in booking guests and talent for various media platforms.
- Media Industry Knowledge: Understand the dynamics of the media industry and be able to navigate its complexities.
- Adaptability and Results-Oriented: Ability to excel in an environment subject to frequent changes, producing results under pressure.
- Content Creation Skills: Ability to prepare and submit story ideas and guest segments, as well as write detailed feature and show pitches.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills to influence content and drive talent relations.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ Years of Experience in Sports Media or Broadcast Industry: Bring a wealth of experience from the sports media or broadcast industry to the role.
- Familiarity with Technology and Collaboration Tools: Be familiar with computers, search engines, internet searches, collaboration tools, and social media to effectively manage talent relationships and content.

- Bachelor's Degree: Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
The hiring range for this remote position is between $92,742.00 and $130,350.00 per year, depending on various factors including geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
