Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager - Labor Systems to lead the testing, business integration, and advancement of systems and processes used to manage the complex labor needs for Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Aulani, and associated businesses. As a Senior Manager, you will report to the Director - Labor Systems and be responsible for leading teams, developing strategic plans, and driving technical innovation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead teams responsible for product roadmap planning, change management, testing, and delivery of system changes and new functionality, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations.
 - Oversee the execution and optimization of system testing efforts, including functional unit testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing across a wide variety of existing systems and new systems in active development.
 - Develop and prioritize ongoing work, including project delivery, sustainment, and administration of current production systems, to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical innovation.
 - Lead integration efforts with key business and technology partners, including Technology, Operations Training, Workforce Management, Operations, LOB partners, HRIS, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Human Resources, and others, to drive strategic integration opportunities and technical innovation.
 - Identify and influence strategic integration opportunities across DX organizations to further technical innovation and segment and site-specific priorities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical innovation.
 - Consult and partner with international DX sites on labor and data strategic planning and system integration, sharing best practices and driving global consistency.
 - Champion the development of relationship skills, technical skills, and product & project management skill sets across teams and partner areas, ensuring a high-performing and agile workforce.
 - Translate technical language into business value-driven stories and promote Labor Systems and related work and innovation through networking opportunities across the enterprise and among external partners and vendors.
 - Drive cross-functional work efforts by effectively partnering with peer teams within and outside of Labor Systems, ensuring collaboration and alignment across the organization.
 
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5-7+ years of experience developing or leading system and/or data solutions in a high-volume environment, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects and driving technical innovation.
 - Experience leading or closely supporting operational teams, with a strong understanding of labor systems and workforce management concepts.
 - Experience leading leaders of teams, with a proven ability to develop and manage high-performing teams and drive talent development.
 - Demonstrated experience working with complex data sets, with a strong understanding of data analysis and interpretation.
 - Extensive experience collaborating both virtually and in-person, along with strong storytelling skills and the ability to relay technical content in a simple and engaging way.
 - Experience delivering technology projects using Agile methodology, with a strong understanding of iterative development and continuous improvement.
 - Knowledge of workforce management concepts, including labor forecasting, scheduling, and time-off management.
 - Ability to manage and support multiple internal and external stakeholders, with a strong understanding of stakeholder management and communication.
 - Experience with upstream/downstream data integration and reporting, with a strong understanding of data flow and integration.
 - Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives and tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a strong understanding of project management and prioritization.
 - Familiarity with SQL, SAS, and/or Python languages, with a strong understanding of programming concepts and data analysis.
 
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are preferred:
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a strong understanding of remote collaboration and communication.
 - Experience with cloud-based technologies, including AWS or Azure, with a strong understanding of cloud computing and scalability.
 - Experience with data visualization tools, including Tableau or Power BI, with a strong understanding of data visualization and storytelling.
 - Experience with project management tools, including Asana or Trello, with a strong understanding of project management and workflow automation.
 
Education
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Business, or a related field is required, or equivalent work experience.
