About the Role: Business Analysis Manager
We are currently seeking an experienced Business Analysis Manager to join our Global Reporting team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving Starbucks' success by collaborating with cross-functional finance teams to deliver monthly and quarterly reporting packages to a senior audience, including the board and executive leadership team. You will also be responsible for leading and enhancing our consolidated operating margin analyses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive change and efficiencies while delivering effective reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative approaches to complex problems and situations, leveraging external benchmarking, statistical tools, and scenario analysis to inform sound financial business decisions.
- Conduct research and analysis to drive business outcomes, including the development of financial models and forecasts.
- Provide training, guidance, and leadership to colleagues to achieve business results, including mentoring junior members of the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set targets and deadlines, develop plans, conduct investigations, measure results, and improve processes.
- Present data and recommendations to senior management, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, modeling, planning, and business planning, with a focus on driving business growth and improvement.
- Material industry experience, with a strong understanding of the retail or food and beverage industry.
- Proven experience in contributing to and leading cross-functional teams, with a strong ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders.
- Project management experience, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver results.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as an MBA or Master's in Finance.
- Certification in a relevant field, such as CPA or CFA.
- Experience with financial planning and analysis software, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.
- Strong programming skills, with experience in languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
