As we embark on the development of our new five-year global strategy, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Foresight and Scenarios Consultant(s) to support us in this critical process.
Context and Objectives
In today's rapidly changing global context, it is essential for organizations like Search to be agile, adaptive, and forward-thinking. Our new global strategy aims to ensure the organization's relevance and impact in the coming five years, and we require a consultant or group of consultants to co-design a scenarios and strategic foresight process that will inform our strategy development. The objectives of this consultancy include:
- Co-designing a scenarios and strategic foresight process as a central component of strategy development for the organization, in collaboration with our senior leadership team
- Training our leadership in strategic foresight and scenarios approaches to strategy
- Developing and utilizing tools to facilitate strategic foresight and scenarios processes
- Facilitating a strategic foresight and scenarios exercise with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders
- Working with our senior leadership team to adapt our strategy execution and planning processes to make them more agile and responsive to change
Key Responsibilities
As a Strategic Foresight and Scenarios Consultant(s), you will be responsible for:
- Proposing a comprehensive methodology for achieving the objectives of the consultancy
- Developing and rolling out scenario-building tools, methodologies, and processes to inform our strategy development
- Facilitating exercises to utilize scenario and strategic foresight tools to inform our strategy
- Producing written products to capture core insights, including a core scenarios report
- Developing relevant tools to use scenarios or other strategic foresight approaches as part of our strategy adaptation, planning, and execution
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Expertise and experience in designing and rolling out strategic foresight and scenarios processes, particularly in uncertain environments
- Expertise and experience in supporting the development of organizational strategies for international organizations with a global footprint
- Expertise and experience in facilitating participatory, interactive workshops with global leaders
- Ability to consider multiple perspectives and capture key insights from a diverse set of stakeholders
- Ability to work in cross-cultural settings and foster the inclusion and participation of diverse staff across countries
- Ability to travel internationally
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) required, with proficiency in Arabic, French, and/or Spanish preferred
